Following a huge upset over Big Ten West opponent Nebraska, Wisconsin appears in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl projections five times heading into week 13 of the season. The Badgers have the potential to take the division title pending wins over Iowa and Minnesota in the final two weeks of regular season play. Michigan State remained in the projections following its win over Maryland. The Terps are the other Big Ten team projected to play in Orlando.
Picks for the SEC slot on New Year’s Day are more scattered – though the conclusion of the regular season is just around the corner, there are still many meaningful games left to be played. Ole Miss, Auburn and Georgia all were selected twice by college football experts, while Missouri appears just once.
Though it fell in the previous two weeks to SEC opponents, Ole Miss shut out Presbyterian 48-0 hoping to build momentum for a much-needed win against Arkansas in week 13. Auburn suffered its second SEC loss in a row to Georgia on Saturday and fell to No. 14 in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Tigers face Samford this Saturday before taking on Alabama in the annual Iron Bowl. Following its win over the Tigers, Georgia jumped five spots in the CFP rankings to No. 10 and will take on Charleston South in week 13.
