The Stetson Hatters pulled off the biggest upset in Tangerine Bowl history with a 21-point third quarter explosion in their 35-20 triumph over Arkansas State. 

Quarterback Bill Johnson earned game MVP honors as he led the Hatters with three touchdown passes to receiver Tom Luade. 

Stetson was the first team from the state of Florida (DeLand) to participate in the bowl.
