Michigan and Florida Arrive in Orlando
Both Michigan and Florida arrived in the City Beautiful for the much anticipated Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl on Friday. The game was the second-fastest sell out of the Citrus Bowl (UF v Michigan in 2008 was the quickest).
Florida is making its sixth appearance in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl, tying Georgia for most appearances from an SEC team.
Michigan is no stranger to Orlando either. The Wolverines are making their fifth appearance in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl, tying Penn State for more appearances by a Big Ten team.
Both teams have a busy week ahead in Orlando from theme park trips to Best Buy shopping sprees, here’s a breakdown of the week ahead for Michigan and Florida:
Dec. 30: Buffalo Wild Wings Day For Kids: Located on Tinker Field at the Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium, players from both teams play games and hangout with kids from the local Boys and Girls Club. Please note: this event is not open to the public.
Dec. 31: Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl Kickoff Luncheon: Nearly 24 hours before kickoff of the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl, the two teams gather for a one-of-a-kind luncheon featuring band and cheer performances, interviews with the head coaches and a special challenge for the players. Members of the ESPN on ABC commentary team for the game will host the luncheon, and guests will actually sit with the players. Tickets can be purchased here.
Dec. 31: Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl Pep Rally’s: Both head coaches talk to fans at I-Drive 360 in preparation for the game.
Jan. 1: The 70th annual Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl featuring 14th ranked Michigan and #19th ranked Florida. Tickets are sold out, but fans can purchase Kickoff Luncheon and pre-game hospitality tickets here.
