The 32nd annual Tangerine Bowl featured Florida State quarterbacks Jimmy Jordan and Wally Woodham, who combined to complete 25-of-35 passes for 455 yards.
With the score tied in the second quarter, the Seminoles scored twice, including a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Larry Key to boost the score to 16-3. The Seminoles continued their scoring attack in the second half on their way to a 40-17 thumping of Texas Tech.
Jordan, who passed for 311 yards, earned game MVP honors.
