January 1, 1970

A game billed as an offensive thriller between Ohio State and Brigham Young turned into a defensive struggle won by the Buckeyes, 10-7.

Game MVP Larry Kolic intercepted a Robbie Bosco pass and returned it 14 yards for the deciding score as Ohio State shut down the best passing attack in the country.

Bosco struck for one first-half touchdown pass and attempted to lead the Cougars in a comeback as BYU marched down the field, only to be intercepted in the end zone in the closing seconds.
