Mark Ingram rushed for two scores, setting a school record for touchdowns, as Alabama dismantled Michigan State 49-7.
The Crimson Tide rushed for 275 yards and five scores, while holding the Spartans to 171 total yards. Alabama sacked quarterback Kirk Cousins four times, and the junior finished the day with one interception and no touchdowns. Third-string running back Eddie Lacy capped an impressive scoring performance for the Tide with a late 62-yard run.
Lacy scored on a 12-yard touchdown earlier in the second half and finished with 86 yards on just five carries. Alabama’s 42-point win over the No. 7 Spartans is the 2nd-largest margin of victory over a top-10 team in a bowl since 1990 and the most lopsided win in game history.
