Orlando’s SunRail Offers Free Limited Service On January 1
Beginning December 22, SunRail is adding extended service due to popular demand from those looking for a convenient way to take advantage of Downtown Orlando’s many entertainment options – including the Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium. That includes limited FREE limited service on New Year’s Day for fans attending the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl.
Additionally, Church Street Station is a short distance from the pick-up and drop-off locations for the City of Orlando’s free downtown shuttle, so fans who do not want to park downtown can use SunRail and the shuttle to get to and from the stadium conveniently on game day.
The extended hours also include nighttime service on top of the normal SunRail schedule each night. The final southbound train will leave Church Street Station at 9:56 p.m. and the final northbound train will depart at 10:30 p.m.
Check out the full SunRail schedule from Dec. 22 – Jan. 1 at SunRail.com.
The enhanced SunRail schedule was created to provide Central Floridians with easy access to the downtown corridor during a holiday season that is chock full of exciting events at the Amway Center, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and of course, the Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium. If enough people use the NightTrain service, it could become a permanent fixture in Orlando.
