SEC Week 13 Preview

After three home games, No. 7 LSU (9-2, 5-2 SEC) hits the road to visit Arkansas (4-7, 2-5 SEC). The Tigers won last year against the Razorbacks but the home team has won each of the last four meetings.

With a close loss last week to Syracuse, Missouri (5-6, 2-5 SEC) will travel to No. 9 Texas A&M (9-2, 5-2 SEC) for their first game as SEC foes. The Tigers have a three-game winning streak against the Aggies in Big 12 play dating back to 2007.

Tennessee (4-7, 0-7 SEC) hopes to win at home this weekend as they host Kentucky (2-9, 0-7 SEC). The Vols have dominated this series since 1985 but Kentucky won last year 10-7. This matchup will be particularly interesting as both teams have announced a coaching change.

No. 2 Alabama (10-1, 6-1 SEC) will host Auburn (3-8, 0-7 SEC) in the Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa. This long time rivalry began in 1893, where the Crimson Tide has a record of 41-34-1.

After coming off of a win against Arkansas, Mississippi State (8-3, 4-3 SEC) travels to Ole Miss (5-6, 2-5 SEC) for the Egg Bowl. The Bulldogs hope to hold onto its
three-game streak against the Rebels.

In non-conference action, No. 4 Florida (10-1, 7-1 SEC) takes on No. 10 Florida State (10-1, 7-1 ACC). The Gators will try to get back to their winning ways against the Seminoles. They h ave lost the last two games against FSU after previously wining six straight.

No. 3 Georgia (10-1, 7-1 SEC) hosts Georgia Tech (4-6, 2-4 SEC). The Bulldogs’ only loss to the Yellow Jackets in the last 11 years came in 2008.

Another SEC-ACC match-up this week is between No. 12 South Carolina (9-2, 6-2 SEC) and No. 11 Clemson (10-1, 7-1 ACC). The Gamecocks’ own BCS hopes are slim, but they can spoil the Tigers’ hopes for an at-large berth with a win.

Vanderbilt (7-4, 5-3 SEC) travels to Wake Forest (5-6, 3-5 ACC) this week. The
Commodores have only faced the Demon Decons fourteen times since 1964, with
a record of 8-6.
