2017 NFL Draft Roundup
Over the weekend, 26 former Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl participants were selected in the 2017 NFL Draft. LSU safety and 2016 bowl participant Jamal Adams led the way as the sixth overall selection, headed to the New York Jets. Adams tallied six tackles (five solo) including one tackle for loss and one pass breakup against Louisville in the Tigers 29-9 victory in last season’s bowl.
Of the eight teams to have competed in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl over the past four seasons, the 2016 matchup between Michigan and Florida saw the most players drafted, earning a combined 16 selections. Nine of Michigan’s 11 draftees and seven of the Gators eight selections competed in the 2016 New Year’s Day classic.
