2022 Vrbo Citrus Bowl Set For New Year’s Day
The game date and kickoff time for Orlando’s Vrbo Citrus Bowl were announced on Thursday as part of ESPN’s 2021-22 college football schedule release.
The 2022 Vrbo Citrus Bowl will kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 1 at Camping World Stadium and will mark the 75th anniversary of the inaugural Tangerine Bowl game on Jan. 1, 1947 at the same site. The matchup will pit the Southeastern Conference against the Big Ten Conference and will be televised on ABC.
In last season’s Vrbo Citrus Bowl, the Northwestern Wildcats beat the Auburn Tigers 35-19 with Northwestern quarterback Peyton Ramsey taking home game MVP honors.
