A statement from Florida Citrus Sports (Capital One Bowl/Russell Athletic Bowl) CEO Steve Hogan regarding recent reports on the selection process for this year’s Capital One Bowl.

“Our Capital One Bowl Selection Committee has the sole authority to select and invite the two most deserving teams each year. Any reports insinuating that our selections were mandated by our conference partners are inaccurate.”
