Big Ten Week 13 Preview

Expansion has put the Big Ten back in the spotlight this week, but new additions Maryland and Rutgers are a season or two away from joining up. The conference season winds down with a number of games that will impact bowl positioning.

Legends division frontrunner No.
14 Nebraska (9-2, 6-1 Big Ten) will host Iowa (4-7, 2-5 Big Ten) on Friday,
November 23 at 12pm on ABC. Nebraska has not lost
a game to Iowa since 1981.

After their close loss to Purdue last week, Illinois (2-9, 0-7 Big Ten) hopes to
bring home a win against Northwestern (8-3, 4-3 Big Ten) on Saturday. The Fighting Illini have won two straight against the Wildcats.

In one of the most heated rivalries in the Big Ten Conference, No. 19 Michigan
(8-3, 6-1 Big Ten) will travel to take on the undefeated Ohio State (11-0, 7-
0 Big Ten). We gave this game a special look in a weekend spotlight.

Indiana (4-7, 2-5 Big Ten) travels to Purdue (5-6, 2-5 Big Ten). The Boilermakers have a chance to be bowl eligible with a win, and could make two straight bowl appearances for the first time since 2006-07.

After a loss last week to Northwestern, Michigan State (5-6, 2-5 Big Ten)
travels to Minnesota (6-5, 2-5 Big Ten) this weekend. In the past two years, the
Spartans have hosted the Golden Gophers at home with two wins, but lost in their last trip to Minneapolis in 2009.

With both a 7-4 record, Penn State (7-4, 5-2 Big Ten) will host Wisconsin (7-4,
4-3 Big Ten) on Saturday. Since 1953, the Nittany Lions have only played the
Badgers a total of 11 times and hold a 2-9 record.
