SEC Week 12 Preview

No. 7 LSU (8-2, 4-2 SEC) will host its third-straight home game when they host Ole Miss (5-5, 2-4 SEC). The Tigers have won eight of the last ten in the series.

Mississippi State (7-3, 3-3 SEC) hosts Arkansas (4-6, 2-4 SEC). The Bulldogs’ only wins in the series since 1992 have come in Starkville.

Vanderbilt (6-4, 4-3 SEC) hosts Tennessee (4-6, 0-6 SEC). The Vols have dominated this series since 1927 and are currently riding a six-game winning streak. The Commodores haven’t won in Nashville since 1982.

In non-conference action, Missouri (5-5, 2-5 SEC) looks to become bowl eligible when they host Syracuse (5-5, 4-2 Big East). It’s only the third meeting between the two teams, and Mizzou has lost the previous two.

Five of the top teams in the conference host FCS opponents this week: No. 4 Alabama (West Carolina), No. 5 Georgia (Georgia Southern), No. 6 Florida (Jacksonville State), No. 8 Texas A&M (Sam Houston State) and No. 9 South Carolina (Wofford). In other FCS vs. SEC action, Kentucky (1-9, 0-7 SEC) hosts Samford.
