Capital One Bowl, ESPN Ink New Deal

Florida Citrus Sports Chief Executive Officer Steve Hogan has announced that the Capital One Bowl has signed an agreement with ESPN that will have the game’s television rights secured through 2018. Capital One and Champs Sports Bowls Post Big Numbers

Both of FCSports’ bowl games had a banner year in 2009-10, with each making its respective mark nationally and locally in attendance and television ratings. This year, both Orlando bowl games showed significant attendance improvements from the year previous.  The Champs Sports Bowl between Miami and Wisconsin hosted 56,747 fans, an increase of nearly 8% over last season’s mark of 52,692. Penn State Edges LSU in Capital One Bowl, 19-17

(AP) Collin Wagner kicked a 21-yard field goal with 57 seconds left, and the No. 11 Nittany Lions staved off a last-ditch drive by No. 13 LSU for a 19-17 victory Friday.
